Ramblings #6 Today, we rang the changes...
It's been a great weekend, at the end of what has been a very strange week for us all. Although, my faith was restored on Friday; when Katie Hopkins took to the Late Late Show on Friday night to continue an impressive streak of contributing exactly nothing to the social debate. Outstanding!
We spent the weekend recording with Christian Best for some 2017 releases. It was great being back at Monique for a few days. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun, so it's easy to get excited for it. Also, Hannah, Tom, Barry and Iz have put in some shift over past few weeks on the production side of things, and everyone played a blinder!
I also got to play Dolans for the first time, supporting Jack O' Rourke. I got the feeling that this was a special gig for Jack, and a great set included some cracking Leonard Cohen numbers, and tracks from "Dreamcatcher" (Jack's album). It was also really cool to bump into John Loftus who has been so good to me and a load of other artists. The crowd were lovely, the journey was a larf (directed by not one, but two Google Maps), and someone bought an EP based on the fact that they've a daughter called Ciara. I can only assume it'll be used as some sort of interactive birthday card. The plan is beginning to pay off...
Thanks for a class weekend everyone!
